Throughout Scarlet’s childhood she loved crazy clothes and makeup. From the age of 7 she wore gold eyeshadow and lipstick to school. Because of her crazy look, and love of makeup at such an early age, she was ridiculed by her classmates. The more she was teased, the more outrageous her look became. At the age of 13, Scarlet started attending local concerts and realized that the kids were a lot like her. They all wore crazy makeup and clothes so Scarlet immediately felt comfortable. When she was 16 she started her own concert promotion company and booked local shows for bands. Many alternative bands from all over the U.S. started to book their local shows through her production company. At that point Scarlet was hooked to the excitement of the music scene.

For the past few years Scarlet pestered her mother Beth, an acclaimed hair and makeup artist in the fashion industry, about creating an affordable makeup line for music centric people. From this partnership, “Darla” was created.

Starting “Darla Makeup” was no easy task. We wanted 100% cruelty free products, and they also had to be vegan friendly. The” Darla Makeup” Company is dedicated to selling the latest trends and styles in makeup and clothes. Our products are comparable to department store brands, but are a lot less expensive.

Although our main goal is to create a new way to define one’s own personal style, we want people of all shapes and sizes to feel comfortable in their own skin. “Darla Makeup” is more than a product brand, it is a way of life. “Dare to be different, Dare to be Darla”.

Can All of the Darla eyeshadows be used with the Darla Paint Sealer?
Yes, every single one of our eye shadows works great with the paint sealer. It intensifies the color and keeps it on all day. The sealer is water resistant and sweat resistant, GREAT FOR SUMMER!

Does Darla Makeup Except returns?
We take extreme care when packing your order and make every effort to ensure that your shipment will be protected while in transit. Unless a product is damaged during shipment we do not except product returns or refunds.

Does Darla Makeup sponsor bands?
Yes, Darla Makeup is currently looking to sponsor bands. If you are interested, please email us at info@darlamakeup.com. In this email please include your bands name, website or myspace link (must have music up), your record label (if you have one) and a phone number where you can be reached. You do not have to have a girl in your band to be sponsored by Darla, we will have a unisex clothing line available in the near future.

How can I get involved with Darla Makeup?
We are currently looking for Darla Makeup street team leaders. These people will be responsible for going to shows in their hometown and handing out fliers and coupons for Darla Makeup (which we will provide.)
